Coaching Philosophy

In a phrase:  Uphold the Standard.

 

Strength training movements have standards.

 

Standards become a known expectation through education (coaching) and can be achieved through direct application or by working through a programmed progression.

 

Standards are created for safety, efficiency and to use in a competition setting to judge participants.

 

Striving to perform a movement to its prescribed standard keeps athletes safer and is a much more efficient use of energy which is especially appreciated during a workout or competition.

 

It's when there is a lack of maintaining the standard where unnecessary energy loss and increased risk for injury occurs.
